- 6oz butter
- 7oz soft brown sugar
- 1 egg, plus one yolk
- 2tsp vanilla extract
- 9oz self raising flour
- 2tsp corn flour
- 2tsp baking powder
- 150g chocolate chips
Directions
- Grease and line a cake tin.
- Cream the butter and sugar.
- Add the vanilla and eggs.
- Fold in the flours and baking powder.
- Stir in the chips and spoon into the tin. Bake for 25minutes.
- Leave it to cool in the tin and don’t be alarmed when it sinks in the middle – it’s meant to. Eat warm with ice cream or cold in your hand.
