Filo Nibbles

Tis the season TO ENTERTAIN 

We all end up having people over for drinks and festive fun over the christmas period, so here is a simple, easy nibble you can bring out to wow your guests (and guess what – it only takes a few minutes to make!)

Oven 200c



  • 1 pack filo sheets
  • 200g asparagus tips
  • 150g goats cheese
  • 25g pine nuts, toasted
  • Pomegranate seeds optional


  1. Grease a muffin tin.
  2. Power boil (or steam) the asparagus tips for 2 minutes.
  3. Lay out 4 filo sheets and cut into quarters (keep them in their little piles as each pile is one). Lay them into each muffin space, turning the sheets a quarter turn with each layer so you get that frilly effect around the edges. Repeat this cutting and laying process until you have the desired amount filled.
  4. Now simply lay 3-4 asparagus tips across the base, sprinkle on a little goats cheese and pop in the oven for 20-25minutes. Sprinkle with pine nuts and serve
