Maple Candied Nuts

A TREAT FOR THE WEEKEND ANYONE?

These nuts are my weakness. So easy to fry up and beyond delightful. Yet, guess what, NO REFINED SUGARS! I make them as a cheeky treat or as a gift.

Ingredients

  • Nuts of your choice – here I used pecans but almonds and walnuts are also delicious.
  • Maple syrup to cover
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  1. Heat a dry pan. Add the nuts, enough maple syrup to cover and a pinch of salt. Fry until bubbling and starting to caramelize.
  2. Tip onto lining paper and let cool. Keep in an air tight container for two weeks.
