Pizza party

What a fun way to make pizzas? If your house is anything like mine, people often want different toppings – so here’s the answer. It is a great party number if you have lots of people or just family fun.

Serves 5

Ingredients

  • Flat breads – 500g plain flour

  • 2tbsp oil

  • 1tsp salt

  • 300ml warm water

    Toppings –

  • Mozzarella

  • Cheddar

  • Oven roasted veg

  • Sliced tomatoes

  • Basil leaves

  • Chicken

  • Sundried tomatoes

Directions

  1. Firstly, make the flat bread bases. These can be done in advance and left in a warm oven. Mix the flour and salt, mix the oil and water and slowly pour it into the flour. Mix. Turn it out onto a floured surface and knead it a little, then leave it to rest for 5mins. Then simply tear off small handfuls and roll out until 1cm thick. Heat a dry pan until v hot and fry until beginning to bubble, then turn. Continue until all the dough is gone. Wrap in a tea towel and keep in the oven.
  2. Then I simply lay a table with all the toppings and let people assemble their own. Pop them in an oven for around 20mins, or until golden.
