Chocolate Oaties

Makes 8

Oven 180c



  • 4oz butter
  • 31/2oz light brown muscovado
  • 1 egg
  • 1tbsp milk
  • 1tsp vanilla essence
  • 4oz oats
  • 31/2oz plain flour
  • 1tbsp cocoa powder
  • 100g dark choc chips
  • 100g milk choc chips


  1. Cream the butter and sugar.
  2. Stir in the egg, milk and vanilla.
  3. Mix in the oats.
  4. Sieve in the cocoa and flour and combine.
  5. Lastly mix in the chips.
  6. Put heaped tablesoonfuls onto a lined baking sheet, pressing down slightly to flatten them out at they don’t spread. Bake for 15minutes
