Sweet and Sour

Looking for a healthy take-away for tonight? This is it!!

Serves 4



  • 4 chicken breasts, diced
  • 2 red peppers, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 small tin of chopped pineapple, drained
  • 4tbsp sesame oil
  • 2tbsp corn flour
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2tbsp ginger, grated
  • 6tbsp honey
  • 3tbsp soy sauce
  • 3tbsp tomato puree
  • 9tbsp wine vinegar
  • Rice and flat bread to serve


  1. Firstly, toss the chopped chicken in the corn flour and cook in 2tbsp of the oil until browning.
  2. In a separate pot, heat the remaining oil and cook the onion, peppers, garlic and pineapple.
  3. Add the chicken.
  4. Mix all the remaining ingredient in a bowl for the sauce and pour into the pot until heated through.
  5. Serve with rice.
