The perfect weekend treat without the unhealthy undertones of a take-away.

Ingredients
- 450g tofu, torn
- 2tbsp corn starch
- 1/2tsp salt
- Black pepper
- 1tbsp oil
- 2tbsp maple syrup
- 1tbsp chilli sauce
- 1tbsp soy
- 1tbsp rice vinegar
- 1tbsp sesame oil
- 5 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 shallot, diced
- 2 spring onions, sliced
Directions
- Place the tofu in a bowl with the corn starch and seasoning, coat well and then spread onto a baking sheet. Bake for 20-30mins, until crispy.
- In a small bowl, mix the maple, chilli sauce, soy and rice vinegar.
- Heat the sesame oil in a pan and cook the garlic , spring onion and shallot until soft, reduce heat and add chilli sauce. Cook until sauce has thickened. Toss crispy tofu in sauce and serve with noodles or rice.
