Vegan Chocolate Buckwheat Muffins With Nut Butter Syrup

Ingredients
Syrup – 4tbsp almond butter
4tbsp maple syrup
2tbsp water
Waffle – 180g buckwheat flour
50g cocoa powder
4tbsp coconut sugar
1tsp ground cinnamon
1tbsp baking powder
420ml almond milk
4tbsp apple sauce
1tsp vanilla
1 banana to serve
Directions
- Make the syrup by combining all the ingredient in a bowl, adding enough water to get the desired consistency.
- Add the flour, baking powder, cocoa, cinnamon and sugar and combine.,
- Now stir in the almond milk, apple sauce and vanilla. Pour the batter into the centre of a waffle iron, close and cook for 3-4 minutes. Remove, top with banana and pouring sauce. Enjoy!
