Vegan Chocolate Buckwheat Muffins With Nut Butter Syrup

Ingredients

  • Syrup – 4tbsp almond butter

  • 4tbsp maple syrup

  • 2tbsp water

  • Waffle – 180g buckwheat flour

  • 50g cocoa powder

  • 4tbsp coconut sugar

  • 1tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1tbsp baking powder

  • 420ml almond milk

  • 4tbsp apple sauce

  • 1tsp vanilla

  • 1 banana to serve

Directions

  • Make the syrup by combining all the ingredient in a bowl, adding enough water to get the desired consistency.
  • Add the flour, baking powder, cocoa, cinnamon and sugar and combine.,
  • Now stir in the almond milk, apple sauce and vanilla. Pour the batter into the centre of a waffle iron, close and cook for 3-4 minutes. Remove, top with banana and pouring sauce. Enjoy!
